Humanity really needs the secret superpower that humpback whales possess!

While watching a YouTube video about whale researcher Nan Hauser, who believes a humpback whale saved her, I finally understood that I was amazed.

As someone who loves marine mammals like the whale, dolphin, and orca, I was so blown away and then thought maybe if humans possessed the kind of altruism that this humpback whale had, the world would be beautiful.

These animals, known for their intelligence and gentleness, don't pose any threat to humans. I have spent many summers on the beach, but perhaps because I lacked the luck, I have never seen any of them in real life.

According to the web, altruism means doing something for others with no benefit for oneself, sometimes even with a cost to oneself. It is such an act as donation, volunteerism, or helping a complete stranger in distress. Selflessness is the kind of attitude that should be aspired to.

Looking at the other side of the globe, wars, natural calamities, global warming, and domestic violence, we should take these messages of intentionality from the humpback whales and explore how we get to the point of altruisms.

The kind of altruism that may be the salvation of our era.
